Basket Structure & Weighting

Baskets are collections of tokens bundled together in specific proportions. Each token inside a basket is called a component, and different baskets follow unique selection criteria.
Each basket contains carefully selected tokens, which we call "Components", chosen based on theme or purpose. Only tokens with sufficient liquidity on Raydium are included to ensure smooth transactions.
Example: Binance Alphas on Solana ($SOLALPHA) is a basket featuring top Solana tokens from Binance’s Alpha Spotlight, such as Fartcoin, ai16z, AI Rig Complex, Kamino, Unicorn Fart Dust, and Fwog. (Components may change over time.)
When Baskets are initially created, quantities of component tokens per each basket token are calculated based on basket's weighting strategy.
There are two main weighting strategies:
Equal-Weighted – Each token holds the same share: 1/N (where N is the number of components).
ex. Top Memes by Market Cap ($TOPSOLMEME) is equal-weighted basket.
Market-Cap Weighted – Weights are assigned based on market capitalization, giving larger tokens a greater share.
ex. Classic Market Drivers ($THEOG) is market-cap weighted basket.
Example: Binance Alphas on Solana ($SOLALPHA) is an equal-weighted basket. There are 10 component tokens, so each component has a target weight of 10% at the time of inception.
As token prices fluctuate, the actual weight of each component changes. But the basket always maintains a total weight of 100%.
